Staffing and facilities

Our staff includes licensed clinical mental health counselors (LMHC) with experience in LGBTQ+ youth mental health. Rainbow Connections also staffs graduate level counseling interns and volunteer peer support specialists with experience in the LGBT+ community.

Rainbow Connections staffs licensed professionals specializing in crisis-intervention that are available 24/7.

Operations and community alliances are overseen by our program coordinator. All staff participates in mandatory training that includes cultural competencies, trauma informed care, and mental health challenges to prioritize community needs.

Rainbow Connections is located in the ADA Compliant Olean, NY Community Center that is located near accessible public transportation. Rainbow Connections has individual counseling rooms and group activity spaces (Meherali et al., 2025).
